In May of 2018, Jessie (Townsend) Armstrong, Lee Townsend, Andy Garfield and David McBrady entertained hundreds of people who turned out for the Island Grove/Cross Creek Blueberry Festival. Proceeds from the festival go towards the local volunteer fire departments which serve the rural communities of Island Grove and Cross Creek.
